Mind over Medicine

Hybrid Health

Oftentimes, we will get new clients at Healing Waters that are frustrated with Western medicine. They don’t feel heard or they’ve been put into a category of “you’ll just have to live with it.” They’ve tried numerous medications but nothing seems to help. We understand the frustration behind that and also know that there is another way to feel better through alternative medicine.

We have heard of hybrid cars that use a combination of gas and electric, right? We believe that we can do the same with our health care choices and well being. I’m calling it hybrid health, a combination of Western and Eastern medicine that can serve people so that they can have options, feel heard, and improve quality of life. Educating yourself, finding what resonates with you, staying curious about what modalities are available, and a willingness to try something new (even though it seems weird) may be just what you need. I’ve talked to many people about AcuEnergetics® and sometimes people come right out and say that this is hocus pocus. Gathering more information, staying curious and suspending judgment may give you a new awakening.

Western medicine prescribes specific drugs for a disease or condition. In contrast, Eastern medicine focuses on treating the person as a whole rather than just their symptoms. Many people strictly follow Western medicine because of the science that backs it. We live in a society of wanting a quick fix and there seems to be medication for everything and that is appealing to people. I get it, medications will offer a quicker result but it’s not getting to the root cause of what’s ailing you. With Eastern medicine, a holistic approach is taken. Looking at each person with a combination of mind, body and spirit. This approach will require you to dig into old emotions and patterns to determine where you are blocked and why you have pain, anxiety, depression, or whatever is ailing you.

I’m not saying that one is better than the other. In fact, there are studies that report that the two medicines work well together, which brings me back to hybrid health. There is an absolute need for medication. If my body needs it, I’m not opposed to taking medication, but I would make sure to support my system with an alternative modality like an energetic liver cleanse (we do them at Healing Waters).

Hybrid Health, a combination of Western and Eastern Medicine. Stay open to other options for your well-being.
