In the Flow with Healing Waters
What is Behind Your Walls?
When you look at a child, playing carefree, loving, no matter who is around. That is just loving, being open, and being free. Like the heart is completely and utterly open, and enjoying life.
Why are we not like that all the way through life? Why can’t most of us be happy and open? What makes us get so serious about life?
It appears what happens as you go through life is that people hurt you or events happen that hurt. Maybe you have a heartbreak, maybe someone bullies you, you lose a loved one, get fired from a job, go through something stressful, etc.
When you are hurt, you start putting walls up around the heart because subconsciously and consciously you don’t want to be hurt again. The walls that are put up are for defense, but they actually are the barriers that keep you from being able to connect with others and being the open love-being you are.
Energetically when you have walls, they create stuck energy and can make you physically sick and/or dis-ease. Those walls can keep you in a state of emotion like defensiveness, sadness, frustration, fear, etc. These emotions become attitudes and make us serious in life.
Every human on the planet is looking to feel love and be loved. So how is love cultivated?
Usually we look to people to show us love and help us feel loved. When we don’t get that, then we can close down again. It feels like the cycle goes on and on as we go through our life looking for others to help open us up.
As I understand more about myself, I have learned the practice of how to open myself up. I am looking at what walls I have made and I’m evaluating to see if I want them up anymore. I am the only one who can break down the walls I have created and love me.
What is at the center of it all is I AM. If you need a refresher to what I AM is, there are previous blogs that discuss it. But in simplistic terms, I AM is the love and openness I am looking for and you are too. It’s where your joy, peace, and happiness begin.
Here is a short video I made describing the walls. The next I AM retreat is October 7th. Register today to learn to connect to your I AM!
Being open and loving in the flow,
Susan
