Watch out for that curveball!

What do we do when life throws a curveball?

We never know when the curve ball is coming so it is best to be prepared.

What is a curveball? When things don’t go as planned, if there is an upset of some type at work, home, or in other relationships, if there is a health issue that comes up, financial issues, a death, a divorce, and a myriad of other situations. Oftentimes these situations create stress and anxiety.

We live in a world that offers many opportunities for curveballs to create stress and anxiety. I was doing some research about stress and anxiety. Many sites comment on the increase in stress and anxiety since COVID. The common thread on all these sites is that stress and anxiety are at all-time highs, and this includes young people as well.

Here are some things I found when I googled stress and anxiety.

Symptoms of anxiety can include worries, feeling irritable/nervous, feeling restless, wound-up, on edge, being easily fatigued, difficulty concentrating, and/or mind going blank, as well as physical symptoms such as sleep problems, muscle tension, headaches, stomach aches, and pain.

Physical symptoms of stress can include, vasovagal response (we have a balance in AcuEnergetics to take tension out of the vagus nerve), decreased immune system, poor digestion, acne, headaches, poor diet, decreased libido, appetite changes, muscle tension, and rapid heart rate. Also included can be anxiety, worry, sadness, poor concentration, memory changes, learning impairment, social withdrawal, overeating, hair twirling, and substance abuse.

Obviously, we all experience some short-term anxiety and stress in our lives. That is normal and to be expected. It becomes a problem when we chronically live with stress and anxiety and they become part of who we are. Eventually, if we live there for an extended period, it will have an impact on our health and well-being.

For those wanting help with anxiety and stress, there are many options to deal with it.  For some people they choose medication. There are also several different treatment options out there. If you are looking for a way to treat anxiety and stress in more of a holistic manner, Healing Waters Health Center has many options. There are Wellness Balances to address these issues. Practitioners are effective in treating anxiety and stress, and last but not least The Perfect Triangle Program is an excellent program. This program takes a deep dive into looking at ourselves, how we are in our relationships, and how we want to be. You acquire an understanding of how to step back from a situation that can lead to anxiety and stress. Look at the information on the website www.healingwatershealth.com

If you or someone you know is interested in being prepared for some of the curveballs that come along in life, consider The Perfect Triangle or a treatment at Healing Waters.

Living with peace in the flow,
