In the Flow with Healing Waters
The O in OLGA- “OPEN”
Carefree, loving, joyful, accepting, adaptable, curious, generous, passionate, blissful… these are a few words that describe what it feels like to be open.
Our natural state of being is to be open. When you meet a newborn baby, you feel this openness instantly. Watching a puppy or kitten play as it explores its environment brings a smile and joy to your heart. This is open.
For a moment close your eyes and remember the feeling of the first time you fell in love. That feeling of openness is one you remember; it is etched in your heart forever. It feels a certain way, just notice how that feels. It is not about the memory here, it is about the feeling it elicits in your body. If you are interested in doing the OLGA I encourage you to pay attention to this feeling.
When you recall that first time you felt love it was as if nothing could stop you and nobody could tell you any differently. It is like the saying that love is in the air. It is that feeling when you watch a sappy love story.
Open, pure, unconditional at first, and then from this first love we often create a closing potential, called hurt/pain.
The second love we are not always as open, a more protective guarded state is common.
It is not possible to be open and closed at the same time.
Begin to Practice being OPEN:
The more you practice being open the less tension in your body and mind.
The more openness you feel the more happiness you experience.
The more happiness you experience the richer your life becomes.
The richer your life becomes the better your relationships.
The better your relationships the stronger your community.
The strength of your community ripples out to the next community and beyond and eventually to the world.
This is the far-reaching effect of YOU choosing to be OPEN.
Here are a few ways you can practice being open
- Pause, take a moment, feel into your heart, simply breathe and feel that feeling that you felt the first time you fell in love.
- In this moment, become aware of the tension released from your body/mind as you open.
- Enjoy and feel this as long as possible
- Repeat
-Stay in the Flow
