Gratitude, thankfulness, or gratefulness, comes from the Latin word gratis, meaning pleasing, thankful. It is a feeling of appreciation felt by, and/or similar positive response is shown by, the recipient of kindness, gifts, help, favors, or other types of generosity, to the giver of said gifts.
When you look at the human vibration scales of emotion you see that gratitude is a very high vibration. In fact, it is right below God-consciousness, enlightenment, and above love and joy.
Gratitude aligns with freedom and empowerment.
The quality of being thankful means there is a readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
Practice becoming grateful for everything. It is easy to feel gratitude for the beautiful things in life. Begin to see the gratitude for everything in life including struggles, hard times, and loss. In our world of duality, there is always a bright side to every situation, find it and feel gratitude.
When you can see gratitude in everything, you start to develop a very high mood or energy, compared to other moods and energies. Shifting from a place of lower vibrations (sadness, pain, anger, etc) into joy, love, compassion, understanding, and patience is a beautiful high quality of life.
When you feel pure gratitude, it begins a ripple effect and others around you will begin to feel gratitude, simply by feeling your higher vibration.
Understanding and embracing gratitude brings you to a place of freedom, purity, and empowerment.
4 ways to practice gratitude:
1) Become an observer, find where you can express gratitude.
2) Notice good things (big or little) , look for them, appreciate them.
3) Savor, absorb, and really pay attention to those good things. It matters where we put your attention. Placing it on the good things brings more good things.
4) Express your gratitude to yourself, and your loved ones, your neighborhood, groups you are in. Write it down, or thank someone.
