In the Flow with Healing Waters
Live like you are dying
Each day, I draw one day closer to death. This has been happening since the day I was born.
This is the thing – I was born and I will die and what I will do in between these two dates is the life I choose.
Some may look at my life and say I drew the short straw with the challenges that I experienced from a fairly young age. While others may look at me and see that I have a life of ease.
The truth is, both are correct.
It may depend on when you came into my life and witnessed my experiences, that will determine your perception of my life.
It does not matter how you view my life, nor is it important how I view yours, because your life is not mine and mine is not yours. MY perception will be what is going to matter and alter MY life. I heard one time that what others think of me is none of my business. It stopped me for a moment and then, I had to agree.
My challenges I see as my biggest strengths and my greatest opportunities. My challenges are where my strength was birthed.
In the moment of my challenges I didn’t always feel this strength. Yet as I reflect back and see how my choices created the life that I love, I can see how each of them nourished me and allowed me to live fully.
Certainly my life has had challenges and I have also experienced many blessings.
For each experience I could react in more than one way. Which will I choose? Each moment I get to decide.
What do I choose each day and how will I be in each moment? This identifies my life and represents who I am.
This life I live has an ending and at the end I get to look back and because of the choices I make each day I will look back with pride, joy, and love for what I created.
This is why I make the choices I make.
It matters to be conscious, each moment of each day, so I can create this joy filled life, without regret.
Get comfortable with dying so you can live fully today.
Live like you are dying.
