In the Flow with Healing Waters
Letting go so you can go
I imagine this has happened to most everyone.
You go on vacation, or spend the night in an unfamiliar place, and your bathroom habits change.
All of a sudden you can’t seem to have a bowel movement like normal. It turns into a couple of days and you don’t go.
As soon as you get back home, the urge starts and your body responds fairly quickly to have a bowel movement, and it feels fantastic!
There was a time in my life when I thought it was normal to poop once or twice a week.
Yes, you read that right, once or twice A WEEK!!!
I thought that was normal!
We know how amazing it feels to have a healthy bowel movement.
When the digestive tract is moving and emptying out successfully your body feels lighter, and you have more energy.
At Healing Waters, I ask my clients about their bowel movements because it tells me so much about their health. Sometimes they give me a quick answer to get off the subject because they are embarrassed and not accustomed to talking about their poop. People often don’t even know they have an issue with their poop or they don’t want to admit that they have an issue.
Sometimes I hear “I don’t have a problem. I go regularly.” When I inquire a bit more, I find out they go once every 7 to 10 days. Yes, that is regular but not healthy.
At one time or another, most of us have experienced constipation. Did you know there is a chart that describes how your poop should look? It is called the Bristol Stool Chart

Of course, there are many remedies on the market to help with the issue of constipation.
The product I found that changed my digestion is Juice Plus, whole food in a capsule that improves gut health and reduces systemic inflammation.

From a Bio- electrical point of view, there is more going on with constipation than not being able to poop. We look at you holistically, which means we look at the body, mind and emotions all together.
Let’s look at what is going on with constipation and the emotions that go along with it.
It is about not letting go!
(think about that for a moment – not letting go)
Letting go of what you say?
- Attitude
- Judgement
- Resentment
- Grief
And so how can you let go?
First identify what it feels like when you have a fixed attitude, when your judgement of yourself or others is getting in your way.
If you have resentment or if you are staying stuck in grief.
Then start to put your attention on the opposite of the specific attitude or judgement that you hold. Feel your grief and start to look at gratitude. If you are resentful, notice if you can find satisfaction or contentment in that part of your life.
Let’s face it, we all have these emotions at some time or another and really it is not a problem, UNTIL the day we realize that we are stuck. Maybe constipation is an issue and it is time to pay attention to letting go.
