Hip and Back Pain
Are you a person who has had back pain for years? Maybe you get a few twinges from time to time or it’s significant enough that it interrupts your sleep or stops you from picking up your child.
It might be that it bothers you at work or stops you from playing sports.
Does your chiropractor seem to be your new best friend as you can’t make it through a week without him/her?
Do you have to stretch your body to just start your day?
Whatever the case, does your back pain stop you from enjoying your life completely?
You are not alone; Let me shed a little light on the pain in your back.
Did you know where your pain is located in your body has an affiliation to how you are emotionally?
For instance, if you have pain at the top of your spine where the cervical (neck) and the thoracic spine (top of your spine) meet, you might be one who holds on to the past or to physical things, or you might have feelings of resentment.
Moving down your spine behind the heart area is where you hold sadness, distrust, loneliness, and grief, to name a few.
If you have pain at the mid back region, you will be tight and hold here if you are being dishonorable, or if someone is being dishonorable toward you.
Low back pain correlates with money and relationship issues. It can also be related to shame or guilt.
You can see, by paying attention to how you are, can give you a clue to why you have back pain.
Honestly this is a small list of many things we hold in our back.
I invite you to notice the next time you have physical back pain in one of these areas. Pay attention to how you are emotionally. Relax into the emotion and thoughts around what is happening and see if your pain lightens up a bit.

Hip Pain
Here is an interesting thing when people say they have hip pain. Descriptions of the hip ranges throughout the lower region of the body. As balancers and practitioners, we must ask specifically where your pain is because it can range from the groin area to the upper leg to the buttocks to the iliac crest and can include the bones and joints.
Hip pain can include stiffness, difficulty in sleeping and walking.
There are many ways we treat hips because there are several meridians traveling through this area, and it is associated with four different energy centers. It’s important for our clients to give us as many details about their symptoms as possible so that we can find the root problem quicker.
If you or a loved one suffers from hip or back pain, we would love to meet you and help you get relief from your suffering.
